A hub for fashion, music, cuisine and the arts, students can benefit from all Barcelona has to offer as well as the quiet and relaxation of Mediterranean shores. Off-Campus Privileges

Camp personnel and directors are aware that many of our senior campers enjoy a certain level of freedom at home and expect to be able to meet with friends and go off-campus in an unsupervised fashion. For this reason, certain all of our camps but Marbella Alemán allow older campers 3 unescorted off-campus trips per two-week session (4 at Marbella Albergue).

This is possible if and only if:
The student was born in 1992 or earlier (for 2007).
The student submits a signed consent form from his/her parents.
Phones & E-mail

We know how important it is for you and your child to be able to keep in touch, so we′ve made it easy for campers to call home. Every student will receive an international calling card upon arrival that can be activated and charged with 5€ and more at the camp′s reception desk. The phone cards can be used from any telephone, whether a land line On-Campus or an Off-Campus phone while students are on an excursion.

Campers may also use their cellular phones to call home, but only during the designated hours set by each camp. Each facility has an answering machine where you can leave messages for your child and an emergency number in case you need to contact the camp director. We will send you this information one month before your child′s arrival.

All 8 Summer Language Camps have computers with E-mail access for the students′ convenience.

Pocket Money

Upon arrival, students may deposit their pocket money in the camp bank for safekeeping and withdraw money as needed. Each student′s group ″monitor″ will note deposits and withdrawals and keep an eye on the student′s spending habits, in order to help them budget their money. If you anticipate that your child will need additional money, it will be your responsibility to deliver said funds, because we cannot receive or deliver money to students at our camp sites.

Sample Menus

The summer camp menu below is orientative – It′s just an example of what camp meals tend to be. The majority of the summer camp menu consists of Mediterranean & Spanish food. In order for students to discover Spanish culture to the fullest, the camp runs on the Spanish eating schedule:
 Light Breakfast
 Big Lunch (around 2:00pm)
 Late Snack
 Light Dinner

Special Diets:
The Summer Camp kitchens are equipped to prepare food for students with special dietary needs (vegetarian, allergies, etc). Simply notify us about special requirements upon enrollment and we will pass the information along to the camp directors and kitchen personnel.

Uniforms & Laundry

We suggest that students purchase the optional camp uniform package in order to avoid concerns over what to pack, losing or damaging personal items, etc. The package includes:

 6 T-Shirts
 1 Sweatshirt
 2 pairs of Shorts
 1 Baseball Cap.

You should order the uniform at least 10 days before the student′s arrival; it will be delivered to the student during the first day of camp.

Every summer language camp includes laundry service once every 2 weeks. We ask that students bring a laundry bag and highly recommend that you mark all the student′s clothing with their full names.

Medical Care & Insurance

Each camp has an infirmary and 24 hour first aid care on-site to ensure the health and well being of the students. If your child has any chronic medical concerns, allergies, special dietary needs or other requirements, simply notify us in writing, preferably at the time of registration. If your child plans to bring his/her own medicine to the camp, please send it with him/her, along with full instructions on its correct use. Additionally, it may be advisable for the student to carry a report of special medical needs from his/her doctor.

Any new medicines or off-site care required while the student is at camp are not covered by the program cost. However, all foreign students are covered by insurance (ASTES) for on-camp medical assistance, included in the price of the program.
